CHC60208 Advanced Diploma of Children's Services

Are you wanting to learn more about leadership and management,  if you would like to extend your career to become a Director, Coordinator or Supervisor within a children’s service this course is a prerequisite. Extend your knowledge to include latest National Quality Standards and support staff with EYLF.

Prerequisite:

To gain entry into CHC60208 Advanced Diploma of Children’s Services candidates must be recognised as competent, through a recognised training program or recognition process, against CHC50908 Diploma of Children’s Services (Early Childhood Education and Care)

This qualification covers children’s services workers who may operate at an advanced level in early childhood education and care to:

  • Provide specialist services
  • Act as a resource for other workers
  • Manage Innovation and Continuous Improvement
  • Provide practice supervision of staff including volunteers/students
  • Provide leadership and mentoring of a team
  • Work intensively with clients
  • Work with clients with complex needs.

Occupational titles may include:

  • Child and family support service coordinator
  • Inclusion support facilitator
  • Children’s services coordinator
  • Service Director

Packaging Rules: There are 13 units 7 Compulsory 6 Electives, the following units are those currently chosen through feedback with the NT Sector
