Training Needs Analysis
We believe in performing a thorough training needs analysis for all clients to ensure the training developed meets outcomes required. Our training specialists can create, develop, and deliver customized training to meet your organisations needs.
Quality training starts at the analysis phase
We have found that to produce the best training you need to first analyse three important areas:
- The business goals you want to achieve
- The material that must be taught
- The learners' current capabilities
We will guide you through these steps whislt developing the training solutions for your needs.
The Value of a Training Needs Analysis
We have had clients come to us that have pressing training needs. Sometimes, that client will ask us to skip the analysis phase and go straight to training design. They will feel they are sure they have identified the area of need. However, that can be a risky and very costly approach and we have often found those same clients not happy with the training as it has not produced any changes in the workplace or met organisational goals.
The analysis phase serves as an important role in ensuring quality control. It clarifies the service/organisations needs and then outlines measures to success. If you leave out the analysis phase, you may make mistakes about the real issues in your service.
- Wrong focus - the course content may not address the services business needs
- Too easy or too hard - the course could bore or frustrate the learners
- Incomplete, redundant, or inaccurate content - the course might not teach the correct material
Jumping to designing the training, you may not catch those errors until you deliver the training course. At which point, it can be very costly to redesign the training not to mention the time factor. Our past experience in training has led us to know the training needs analysis is time well-spent.
